Studio & Amenities

Where can models get changed?

We have a room divider available to place in any section of the studio for models to get changed in, alternatively models can use the toilet cubicles to change in.

Do you have enough power for multiple equipment to be used at once?

Yes, please get in contact if you have any concerns or are planning to bring any high powered equipment. We are more than happy to check this before you book.

Are there toilets?

Yes, we have separate female and male toilets. Please note these are shared with other people using the building.

Is there WIFI?

Of course, we offer free wifi for the duration of your booking.

Help & Assistance

If i book the studio, can i also book an assistant?

We can provide any type of assistants, get in contact prior to your booking and we can organise an assistant for you. Rates vary depending on type of assistant and length of time.

Can you help set up the lights?

We do offer lighting assistance, let us know before hand and we can help with the initial setup. Anything further than the initial setup will be charged as at the lighting assistant rate.

Do you offer a retouching service?

We do have an in house retouching team, contact us prior to your shoot with your requirements for a quote.

Can you build sets?

Yes, absolutely. We are more than happy to build sets to your requirements, Let us know which style set you are interested in and we can offer you a direct quote.

Is there disable access?

There is disabled access to the studio.

Bookings

What are my payment options?

Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayPal, this information will be on the bottom of your invoice. Alternatively you can book studio hires directly through our booking form on the studio hire page.

If i need extra time on my booking, is this possible?

Overtime is possible if the studio schedule can allow it. We will only accept studio hire overtime if there is time between your booking and the next. Extra time needs to be paid at the time of requirement, this can either be via our onsite card machine, bank transfer or a booking via the studio hire form.

What days are available for booking?

The quickest way to check and secure a slot is to fill out the booking form on the studio hire section of the website. This gives live up to date availability.

What is the minimum time i can book?

The minimum booking slot available is 2 hours.

Can i come early to set up my equipment?

All setting up and taking down of equipment should fall within your booking slot, please remember to give yourself enough time to pack up.

Can i book out-of-hours?

We do offer out of hours bookings, please get in contact with your requirements.

What happens if i want to change or cancel my booking?

Studio hire booking time can be changed with RE-BOOKING FEES as stated below, which depend on notice time provided; - 7 days notice time provided: rebooking fee equal to 10% of booking fee. - 3 days (72 hours) notice time provided: cancellation fee equal to 50% of total booking fee. - Less than 3 (72 hours) notice time provided: cancellation fee equal to 100% of total booking fee

Are dogs aloud to come as part of my booking?

Dogs are aloud to come to the studio if they are controlled at all times. Please note if the dogs makes any mess or causes any distribution throughout the booking, it is up to the booker to clean or remove the dog.

Location

How do i get to the studio?

Our studio is based just outside of Birmingham city centre, on the edge of Aston. If you are driving to the studio from outside of Birmingham, we are very close to the M6, we are only a few minutes from junction 6. If you are coming from within Birmingham, we are right by Aston Expressway / Dartmouth Circus roundabout.

How do i get into the studio?

Once you are outside the building (The Telson Centre), please buzz up to the studio or contact your booking point of contact. A member of our team will come downstairs and direct you to the studio and help you with any equipment you may have.

Is there parking available?

There is free roadside parking outside the studio. We also have a loading bay for anyone bringing large amounts of equipment.

Can i store equipment at the studio?

Unfortunately we don’t offer any storage facilities for any equipment, other than what is provided by the studio.

Is there anywhere to eat?

Unfortunately there are not many places to eat by the studio as we are based in an industrial area, although there is an Aldi 2 minutes drive from the studio. We use a catering company regularly, so if you have a long booking and require food, let us know and we can try our best to help you out! Deliveroo, Uber Eats etc also deliver to the studio.

Equipment

Do i get lighting with my hire?

Yes, we provide up to 4 Bowens Flash heads with any modifier we have available. If you need something specific, get in contact prior to booking.

If there is some kit i need which you don’t have are you able to source it?

We have a strong connection with multiple kit hire companies in and around Birmingham, let us know what you need and we should be able to put you in the right direction.

Do you provide paper backdrops?

We offer multiple backdrop colours, check out the studio hire page for the range of colours we have in stock. If there is any colour we don’t have in stock but you need it for your shoot, contact us prior to your booking and we will see if we can get this in. Any backdrops which are dirty from your shoot, will be charged at £10 per meter.

Is there a product space?

Yes, we have a product space and table available for photographing products.

Is there a makeup area?

Yes, there is an area specifically for makeup which is lit and has a desk and multiple stools.

Do you supply a steamer?

Yes, we have a standard steamer in house, available to use with any booking.

Is there a rail any hangers?

Yes, we have a load of hangers and two rails available for use.
